IFID’s Annual MENA Network meeting embraces yet more countries, more youth and more creativity....

The 8th and 9th of April 2012 witnessed the 5th and largest “Success in a Changing World” MENA Network meeting for the International Forum for Islamic Dialogue.

Expanding to involve yet more countries; participation included 21 NGO’s from 19 cities of 10 different countries. Audio-visual presentation including short films, provided insights into the current work taking place across the network.

The meeting aimed to consolidate the network and included workshops for trainers, co-ordinators and course material developers as well as introductions to the latest material.

An exclusive preview of IFID’s most recent endeavours in digital production for Success In a Changing World was screened; a series of 7 films designed to assist the network’s trainers to consolidate course concepts.

Mrs Fatima Al-Bahadilli of Al-Firdaws Society in Basra, Iraq was presented with an award for Contribution to Suceess in A Changing World for her tremendous efforts to push the project in her hometown.

Mr Abdellatif Tarib, Mr. Khalid AL-Asily, Mr. Maurad Hajji and Dr. Omer Al-Khair Ahmed were certified as Regional Trainers.

With a vision to empower youth; this year’s meeting saw a rise in youth participation from Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan Palestine and Tunisia.
